Submission Guidelines

FlowEngineer publishes original technical papers and research from practising engineers, researchers, and specialists in industrial valve, pump, and flow control engineering. All submissions undergo editorial review and approval before publication — no paper is published without passing the review process below.

Topics We Accept

• Valve design, manufacturing, and application engineering
• Pump engineering, selection, and fluid dynamics
• Piping systems and process optimization
• Materials science for fluid handling (corrosion, erosion, material compatibility)
• Nuclear, petrochemical, and power plant valve applications
• Industry standards interpretation (API, ASME, IEC, ISO, MSS)
• Smart valves, digital twins, predictive maintenance, and emerging technologies
• Field case studies from chemical, refining, LNG, and water treatment plants

Paper Types

• Original Research — new findings, experimental data, or novel analysis
• Technical Case Studies — real-world problem-solving with field data
• Review Articles — comprehensive surveys of a technology, standard, or methodology
• Design Methodology — calculation methods, sizing procedures, or design frameworks

Format Requirements

• Length: 2,000–20,000 words. Longer papers accepted with editorial approval — no strict upper limit. We welcome in-depth, multi-part research.
• Format: PDF, Word, or Markdown
• Structure: Abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, results & discussion, conclusion, references, appendices (optional)
• Figures: Multiple figures supported — no limit on count. High-resolution (300+ DPI), numbered and captioned (Fig. 1, Fig. 2…). Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, SVG, WebP. Provide as separate attachments or embedded in the document.
• Tables: Fully supported — numbered with captions (Table 1, Table 2…), units in column headers. Complex multi-column and multi-row tables accepted.
• Video: Video links supported — include YouTube, Vimeo, or direct video URLs where relevant. Videos will be embedded in the published paper page alongside text and figures.
• Equations: Mathematical formulas supported — use LaTeX notation or clearly formatted equations, numbered if referenced in text.
• References: IEEE or APA format
• Language: English (editorial assistance available for non-native authors)

Review & Approval Process

Every paper must pass the following review stages before it is published on FlowEngineer. This ensures technical accuracy, relevance, and quality.
