FlowEngineer Editorial Team

Mechanical Engineer · Founder, FlowEngineer · since 2018

FlowEngineer Editorial Team is a mechanical engineer with over a decade of experience in the design of industrial valves and pumps. He has worked across upstream oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation sectors, with hands-on involvement in pressure-containing component design to ASME B16.34, API 6A, API 600, and API 6D.

He started FlowEngineer in 2018 as an independent technical resource — covering valve engineering fundamentals, selection guides, and calculation tools — built for engineers, specifiers, and procurement teams who need a reliable reference outside vendor marketing materials.

What's On This Site

FlowEngineer is organized into four content sections:

Editorial Standards & AI Disclosure

All articles and calculators on this site are written and technically audited by FlowEngineer Editorial Team. AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude) are used for drafting and language polishing, but every technical figure, formula, standard reference, and engineering conclusion is verified against original standards (API, ASME, IEC, ISO) before publication.

For calculators, each tool's calculation logic is cross-checked against a real valve calculation book (e.g. 16Q347F300 ball valve, 4″X43F-150Lb plug valve) and any errors found in the source are documented and corrected in the implementation.

AI Use Disclosure: This website uses AI tools for content drafting and language polishing. All technical content (formulas, standards references, engineering conclusions) is independently verified by FlowEngineer Editorial Team before publication. No content is published without human technical review.
